Racing for Kids and Transpac sailors

Racing For Kids is a national children's charity that uses racing to raise public attention and funding for the health care needs of children.  Over the past 24 years Racing For Kids has brought celebrity racers to visit more than 25,000 children in more than 500 hospital visits across the US and in Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Australia. They have raised more than $5.5 million for the child health institutions they have visited.

In 2009 we sponsored a visit of Transpac sailors to Miller Memorial Hospital in Long Beach   The young sailors who had starred in the film, Morning Light, met with sick kids, brought them our Racing For Kids hats and generally brightened their day with stories of their Pacific Ocean adventure.

This year Racing for Kids are again sponsoring a visit to Miller Memorial with the crew from Bretwalda 3.  The visit is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
